Brown Bag with the Artist
Noon
Adult Program
Every Thursday during July and August, the Museum will present Brown Bag with the Artist at noon. This free program is for anyone who would like to know a bit more about how art is created. There may be a demonstration, a conversation, or a slide show. You'll learn a little something and have fun at the same time. Bring your lunch or get a box lunch from the Palette Cafe.

The Studio Experience: Sharing the Creative Experience as Artists Work from a Live Model Come watch as five award-winning Columbus area artists paint from a live model. Each artist will interpret the subject differently, using various styles, techniques and media in order to portray their visions. The group of five artists includes watercolorists and oil painters Karen LaValley, Connie Layne, and Elaine Freeman, painter, glazer and spontaneous interpreter Anastasia Horowitz, as well as watercolorist Fran Mangino. This artistic experience will take place from 10:30 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. in Derby Court. Visitors to the museum are more than welcome to join the artists in sketching the model, and drawing materials will be provided.
