Special Events at the Museum
October 2009 thru December 2010
The Columbus Museum of Art will be renovating the original 1931 building that faces Broad Street and includes Derby Court starting in October 2009 through December 2010. During this time we will offer limited event space in the Museum Drive Lobby, Top of the Grand Stair Landing and the Chihuly Lounge. Your event will be enhanced by the dazzling sculptures of Dale Chihuly that will be on view and available to your guests. This spectacular exhibition of color, glass and light will make your event unique and memorable. The Museum is the perfect location for your wedding, social occasion or corporate event.

Museum Drive Lobby 39’x 53’ = 2067 sq. ft.
Welcome your guests to the Museum Drive Lobby featuring artwork from the collection and the striking neon blue Chihuly Tumbleweeds.The lobby works well for reception and cocktails or plan your after dinner dance in this area.

Top of Grand Stair 11’ x 38’ = 418 sq. ft.
This space is located next to the Chihuly Lounge and outside of the Chihuly exhibition. It is best used to accompany the Chihuly Lounge and offer standing cocktail space before dinner.

Chihuly Lounge 20’ x 50’ = 1000 sq. ft.
Located adjacent to the Chihuly exhibition, this room will accommodate a variety of functions - theater style meeting, sit down dinner, stand-up cocktail party or a combination of these.

Facility rental* pricing based on a maximum of five hours and includes all three areas.
