“Wild Earth & Wild Creatures” with COSI’s Science Festival

May 2, 2025
10:00 AM–1:00 PM

Location: CMA

This creative session is in partnership with COSI’s Science Festival.

Artists and scientists are inspired by the natural world. Build your skills in observation, curiosity, imagination, and design in this workshop that combines a custom gallery exploration with hands-on creating. Participants will have a guided experience in the exhibition Wild Earth: JB Blunk and Toshiko Takaezu and draw inspiration from nature and these artists’ creative approaches.

Then they will envision and create their own “Wild Earth and Wild Creature” in CMA’s Studio, creating their own imagined creature and its unique environment! Does your creature have tiny wings, long antennae, a dozen legs, or giant eyes? What type of world do they live in and what does their home look like? Imagine and experiment to design a creature and the ecosystem in which they live.

Admission to "Wild Earth & Wild Creatures" is a drop-in program and included with the cost of admission.
