New York artist Allan Wexler has worked in the fields of architecture, design, and fine art for decades. He is particularly interested in the human-made environment, the function of everyday objects, and the ways we interact with them. A sukkah, the Hebrew word for “booth,” is an outdoor structure used in the celebration of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Wexler’s Gardening Sukkah combines the features of a traditional sukkah with the contemporary function of a gardening shed.
