COLUMBUS, Ohio – Featuring forty-six floral designers, the largest number ever, Art in Bloom will be on view at Columbus Museum of Art (CMA) April 23 through April 25. Presented by the Beaux Arts Auxiliary of CMA, Art in Bloom showcases galleries brought to life through imaginative floral designs paired with works from the CMA collection. Major works from CMA’s collection that will be interpreted include Dale Chihuly’s End of Days, Aristide Maillol’s The Mountain, Lino Tagliapietra’s Endeavor and Maya Lin’s Topographic Landscape.
General admission to CMA on Friday, April 24 and Saturday, April 25 includes Art and Bloom and is $23 for adults, $14 for seniors and students, and $9 for children 4 and older. Proceeds from Art in Bloom and related events support creative programs and learning experiences for children at CMA.

Bloom Bash! Thursday, April 23, 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Celebrate with the floral designers at the kick-off of Art in Bloom in the style of Brazilian Carnival. Ticket $100, includes bites from Columbus eateries, welcome cocktail, cash bar, music and more!
Designer Morning Saturday, April 25, 9:00 – 11:00 am
Meet the floral designers and hear about their design inspiration at this private event. Includes special demonstration Working with Succulents 101, featuring Michael and Jessie of Planthropy. Ticket $30, includes morning refreshments and demonstration.
Think Outside the Vase with Brian Coovert Floral Design, Saturday, April 25, 1:00 – 4:00 pm
Join floral designer Brian Coovert, AIFD, as he demonstrates nontraditional frames and structures for elegant floral arrangements, then apply those techniques to your own designs. Ticket $75, includes demonstration and refreshments.

An auxiliary at CMA since 1946, Beaux Arts attracts members who are interested in the arts and committed to the idea that the museum is a dynamic force for community culture and education. Members also volunteer at art-related events throughout the year, hold monthly meetings that often include art-related programs, and have the opportunity to participate in social and cultural activities planned by the group.
