The Land of Promise, Sa’dia Rehman considers nature of borders, including their contested and often imperialist creation and redefinition. Drawing on this research, Rehman speaks with curator & writer Megha Ralapati about the very real, yet fictional border as a structure and how it is reflected through Rehman’s drawing process and art practice.
This conversation is the first of two events organized by Sa’dia Rehman as part of her 2020-2021 Center for Art and Social Engagement (CASE) fellowship at the Columbus Museum of Art. Rehman's installation The Land of Promise is on view until September 2021.
