Open Studio at CMA engages creative thinking through material exploration with local community partner, Ohio Alliance for Arts Education (OAAE). There will be an enhanced session each month with a teaching artist who will lead a program based on prompts and provide creative instruction. Open Studio encourages visitors to think and make like artists. Individuals of all ages are welcome to step into the Studio to explore and experiment with our wide range of materials and supplies.

Open Studio is open every Saturday from 11:00 AM–2:00 PM. Open Studio experiences are included with admission to CMA.

Our artist for this session is Jaden Taylor, Theme: Self-Portraits
She is a nineteen-year-old artist and photographer based in Columbus, Ohio. Taylor graduated from Fort Hayes High School and Career Center in 2020 and is currently majoring in Art Education at Columbus State Community College. Working with the Ohio Alliance has positively impacted her career as an artist since 2019. Favorite mediums of art include: Mixed Media, Painting, and Film Photography.
