Open Studio at CMA engages creative thinking through material exploration and monthly BIG IDEA's, with local teaching artists joining us once a month. Open Studio encourages visitors to think and make like artists. Individuals of all ages are welcome to step into the Studio to explore and experiment with our wide range of materials and supplies.

As part of Día de los Muertos Family Day, create a photo frame to commemorate a loved one in Open Studio with guest artist Ebony Hernandez from 10:30 AM–3:30 PM.

Studio Activity:
On Dia de Los Muertos, ofrendas (altars) are made in memory of past loved ones. One element to them is putting up their picture in which they honor and remember them. For our activity we will create a frame inspired by Dia de Los Muertos for you to commemorate a loved one.

Ebony Hernandez Bio:
Hi!! My name is Ebony Melody Hernandez! I’m a Mexican-American artist and student in Arts, Administration, Education and Policy with a focus on Art Education at The Ohio State University.
