Location: CMA
Join us July 9–12 at 1:00 PM for a curated screening of educational videos from the Reimagining Columbus initiative. Each day features a filmed conversation or expert interview, encouraging us to question how our shared history and values should be envisioned in public art, monuments, and symbols.
Bring your lunch and come curious! Mention this event at the Welcome Desk for free admission.
More about the project:
The Reimagining Columbus Project is a multi-year, multi-phase initiative aiming to develop recommendations for the Christopher Columbus statue that was removed from City Hall’s campus in 2020. Led by a diverse and representative team of historians, Indigenous architects and designers, and diversity and inclusion advisors, the project will use conventional and restorative practices to support Central Ohio residents in the sharing of personal narratives. The goal is to create places and symbols that resonate with and reflect the community.
