A large-scale installation focusing on Dominguez’ investigation of Spanish horses once owned by Colombian drug lords. Chilean artist Patricia Dominguez is fascinated by the meanings invested in these animals as powerful possessions and remnants of a colonial past. Not only do the horses take on a quasi-mythical status thanks to their associations with a criminal culture, they are celebrated for their otherness as animals that differ due to their gait and style of presentation. The rich and compelling installation was on the Third Floor.
